Yeah. And also, like, between that and late fees as well.

Like, they would be, like, racking in so much coin.

Oh, that's great. So in a way, you'd be kind of hoping some stuff they didn't have because you could save a rental fee.

And I guess before Blockbuster, I assume that there were smaller rental places that were trying to do well, and then I imagine Blockbuster kind of wiped a lot of those out, or took them over, I imagine, except for those stores you were talking about, which did well with alternate titles.

The other thing that was big in New Zealand is that for a while you could rent video game consoles. So like the Sega Mega Drive 2, when that came out, it was a lot of money, but I'd pull in with friends and we'd go in there straight out to school at 3.30. We'd basically like rent a unit. You could get, I think, maybe two games there. So I think Flashback was a really big one. Alien 3 was huge.

And you just like play that all weekend and then drop it off. I think it may be Sunday night. And then we go to school on Monday and just be absolutely exhausted. But so, so happy. I don't think they did councils. I think you could buy them. You'd get them in these big, like massive plastic cases, all padded on the inside. You'd walk out with like what looked like a giant gun case. Yeah.

That was a very bougie thing to do. I mean, I do remember the game rentals being a big thing.

That was the best feeling in the world. And I remember going to school and just being in class and fantasizing about that game. Just imagining playing it. I don't know, I assume kids get that with games they're playing wherever they're playing them. Like Fortnite, a kid addicted to Fortnite... Probably had the same passion that I had for Quake and Descent and Doom and all that stuff.

But I just remember it being such a powerful feeling.
