Well, when we did the Tegan and Sera episode, they talked about Myspace. Like, how they engage with the fanbase over that.
Wish both of our MySpace pages were still there preserved, just to see what we were saying and what our photos were. It was like a specific way you'd take a photo, like a selfie on MySpace at the time. Or maybe it wasn't even a selfie, just a style that you had. Very low-res, I'm sure, at this point. I mean, I'm glad my MySpace isn't there. My God. I really liked them.

The main thing I found so surreal, and I'm curious how it works with licensing, is they were just there playing these giant songs. It wasn't their music. And DJs do this. But I've never been to an event where there's just full songs being played. It was like...

I remember being in the audience at one point and just being like, oh, it is like if I close my eyes, I would just assume that Fall Out Boy is on stage playing right now. And that is why people are going this crazy. But no, it was just that track being played.

There was no remixing going on. It was wild.

And it's that, but it's also like, the other surprising thing with Emo Night, it was like, like, I don't know how to describe it as an old man, but like, they were clearly cool kids there. They loved it. It wasn't anything embarrassing about it. These were like the coolest looking people I've ever seen in my life. And I felt so out of place. And generally, it wasn't like old people there.

But they played five nights in that place and it was packed and they were kids. And I was like, you know, thinking back on this, taking the piss report, I filed for the news, like trying to be edgy and be like, emo isn't cool. It's like so silly. And I'm standing there as this like old man and like all these kids are there loving it. They're not being ironic. Yeah.

They're just appreciating the music, and that was kind of amazing. I think Nu Metal, to a degree, is having a similar kind of revisiting by kids liking Korn, not ironically, but genuinely loving it. It's a trip.
