I think that, yeah, that is like the joy of getting into a scene so specifically, right? It's like it spins out into so many other things.

Yeah, it's just interesting at that age as well. You are just so defined, like you don't have much to define yourself by it because you haven't had many life experiences. And so you latch on to a TV or certainly me, like latch on to a TV show or a band and that becomes your entire identity. Which is why you do become so passionate and why Mexico City had fights between emos and punks.

Because, yeah, it's like it becomes part of you. And I miss that as being an adult. Because I still try and get into some new music. I don't want to just listen to the stuff that I listened to as a kid. Which, of course, I'll always do. But it's harder to get into new stuff and have that same level of like, this is me and this is everything. As an adult, you can't do that shit as much.

It's just this ultimate thing of being like, oh my God, we're all in this together. And this is amazing. And that's another thing I miss as an adult as well. We're both, I think, been very lucky to go to a lot of shows now. But you're always chasing that thing. I wish I could have that same level of excitement that I had as an 18-year-old going to something. Yeah. but you'll never will.

Cause you'll be like, you can be seeing the most amazing thing, but we're so like numb and we've seen so much that you can't get that same head. It's just chasing all of your kids. Like imagine like, like what, um, your kids are going to experience, like what shows will give them that feeling. Yeah.

I can't wait till they rebel against your taste and they just go to something that you just find incredibly obnoxious.

Okay, I'm going to read out As Tall As Lions. So this is Sean Fitzgerald from As Tall As Lions. Okay, so for As Tall As Lions, I don't think so. I never liked that term applied to us, but sometimes you can't help what genre people put you in. We were from Long Island, and from that earlier 2000s period...

We're on a label and toured with bands that I think would fit that moniker, so I totally get it. I guess I would like to think that our music was a little deeper than that. Oh, controversial. When I think of emo, I think of Hot Topic. Oh my God, Hot Topic. That's an episode we have to do. And whining and some sort of punk or hardcore flair.
