When you look at the filings from 2025, so how much tax they paid, Eli Lilly extraordinarily paid $6.6 billion in taxes to the Irish government.

And it paid how much to the American government?

I don't know.

$3.2 billion.

So Eli Lilly paid the Irish government and our beautiful island of 5 million people twice as much in tax as it paid the entire of the United States with their 340 million people.

So...

The Americans are right to be pissed off about that.

They're completely right.

I mean, it makes no sense.

If they are about bringing back corporate American money, if they are about trying to close off loopholes, if they are about saying to the pharmaceutical industries, well, you have to pay...

money in taxes where you've earned the money, how is it in any way democratic?

Because I know you like Democrats.

But you only like Democrats when they're democratic, right?

But how is it in any way democratically plausible that one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world will pay a tiny island

twice as much in tax in one year as it would pay their home country.
