This is a really deep part of Latin American culture

Political culture.

So the PRI were able to do deals with everybody and they were, as I said, kind of Charlie Haughey type Fianna Fáil-y lads, right?

These crowd the Morena are much closer to Cuba, much closer to Venezuela.

Right.

Much closer.

When I say closer, they're not allies of...

But their DNA is Latin American, what they call Bolivarian politics.

Bolivarian based after Simon Bolivar, the man who brought independence to Latin America against the Spaniards.

So you know the way we in Ireland have our kind of anti-colonial shtick?

The Latin Americans have that too.

And of course, her party would be very much part of that tradition.

And that would put her on a complete collision course with the Donald.

Yeah.

And over Venezuela, over Cuba, these are areas that her party would be supportive of.

The Cubans would be supportive of the Venezuelans.

But she needs Trump.

And ironically, Trump needs her.

Because in a way, she is the leader of the only army that can in some way reduce or stem the flow of drugs to the United States.

So in a way, Trump kind of needs to be nice to her.
