I'm doing the absolute best I can.
But I want to talk about this story that's getting increasingly uncomfortable.
Because one of the central promises of this administration when it was a campaign was that prices would come down and they would come down quickly and people would see it and people would feel it.
What was true was that people would feel changes in gas prices, energy prices and broader economic price level.
That was true.
What was not part of the promise was that we would feel it because they were up.
We were told we're going to feel it because it's down.
But the reality is the opposite right now.
Prices are up sharply.
Yes.
Today, oil prices are down thanks to Donald Trump's two week stay on bombing Iran into the Stone Ages or whatever he said.
But the big picture is that everything is up and it came up quickly and it cannot be written off as a minor or temporary fluctuation or temporary blip.
Here's a report from CNN about pricing.
As you can see here, we had this massive, massive oil price spike, which has now backed off because of Donald Trump's latest taco.
We also have gas prices, as I told you, up 61 percent since mid-January.
So the question now becomes a political question.
The economic question is what happens in people's homes.
And we know that it's not good.
It's not going well.
It's a problem for the average American.
