And we're now in this situation where I think the vast majority of Australians back something like a 25% gas export tax, both to get a return from our gas exports, but also to lower prices here in Australia.
We're in this ridiculous situation where we've got manufacturers and businesses going out of business
because they are paying more for our gas than companies in Japan are paying for our gas.
That's ridiculous.
So there's the pushback from industry.
You expect it.
They've got a lot of money.
We know from this recent gas in an inquiry, they've probably got at least 10 mil just for this new campaign that they're running.
The disappointing thing is seeing politicians just rolling out their lines.

fair enough but like use treasury lines use the atos uh figures don't give me the gases industries figures that they got from like an industry survey that when we try to check the link takes you to like you know for era 404 page unknown like come on politicians need to do better than that and so that's that's the frustrating thing for me is you've got the major parties kind of

And people get really angry when you talk about what the Norwegians have done.
They've got a $3 trillion sovereign wealth fund.
I think we hit a trillion dollars of national debt sometime in June, I think, June, July.
That's two very different approaches.
And that's just political decisions.
Yeah, I'd love them to answer this question.
Yeah, I would love them as well.
I mean, I think, you know, there's the political donations.
