You were just quiet and quiet and quiet.

And then Arsene would say, the last two or three minutes before we went out, he would say his little bit, never shouting, just little instructions, back out.

Every single game.

And why was it so quiet then?

Why were players not... Because he didn't like players having a go at each other at half-time.

Even once when we were losing at half-time at Highbury, and Pat Rice came in first, and he started having a go at a couple of the lads.

And in front of all of us, Arsene just turned around and went, Pat, sit down and be quiet.

And we were like... You know, it's almost like being at school.

He's like... He's had a go at Pat!

Yeah.

So that was the sort of silence that he was after.

The only time that I saw him lose it was we played at Man United and we were five down, I think, at half-time.

And he came in and he got his water bottle in his hand.

And in his French accent, he slammed it down in the middle of the dressing room.

And in his French accent, he went, this is not acceptable.

But in his French accent, it didn't sound right.

So I'm like, oh.

No, because it was always tactical.
