That's a lie.
You think that.
That's a lie I've been telling myself for a very long time, which, again, has happened.
And I learned that because of the experience I'm having, the relationships I have, realizing that you're doing that because it's a defense mechanism, not because it's actually true.
And so for this, I would be like,
take the time, like, what do you actually want?
And that's very hard to be truthful about.
And the one way that I found it is just, like, I just follow, like, I have ungovernable curiosity about things.
I cannot tell you why I like to read.
And so, like, when I first started my first podcast, I was just like, oh, like, it'd be cool if I could, like, build a business and a life where I just get to read all the time, which sounds ridiculous.
but it actually worked.
And then you just follow this.
And then now to the point where like, we recorded this conversation with Todd Graves, who's one of the people I wanted to meet the most, which people sounds crazy, but I'm like, he's like, what does he do?
He's like, he sells chicken fingers.
And they're like, what?
Why do you want to meet him?
I was like, because he grinded himself.
First of all, he's been doing his business for 30 years, started out, built the first store by hand.
He had no money, went to crazy risk.
to find the financing because there's no venture capital.
