If the Labour Party had done it our way for five years,
they could have reduced the amount of debt that, ironically and sadly, these children at school will face when they graduate by $800 million.
That's how much they borrowed.
And now, by the way, Labour have announced their education policy.
They want to go back to that.
Yep.
Look, it's one of those funny things.
I campaigned against the whole school lunch program.
I don't think we should do it.
But I got into a coalition government where I had two partners that said I couldn't cancel it.
Then, ironically, I ended up being the person in charge, which was kind of funny in some ways.
But once we got the job, you do the job.
And what I've done is I have saved the taxpayer about $300 million in the last two years.
That's serious money.
that won't be going on the credit card bill that future generations won't have to pay off.
So I don't mind.
I mean, people beat me up in the media every day anyway, so if I can get beaten up and save taxpayer money, that's kind of a bonus.
Look, I certainly hope that's not going to happen.
As far as I'm concerned, it's certainly not.
People want three parties working together to solve problems.
