Patrick Corbin against Paul Skeens.
12-15 as a reminder on Sunday.
Dylan Cease against Mitch Keller.
Let's take a look at some of these pitching matchups.
The Blue Jays have, of course, never seen...
Bubba Chandler.
He is a 23 year old rookie with a five 14 era over nine games started mentioned a little earlier.
The underlying stuff doesn't suggest he's been unlucky or anything in large part because he walks almost as many batters as he strikes out and lets the ball in the air a lot.
He has not gone more than five innings, uh,
very often only twice in nine starts.
So you're kind of looking at a five and dive style guy, unless things are going really, really well for him.
He did have his best start of the season against the rays, six innings of one run ball.
And the rays are probably the rays are better than the blue Jays.
So don't get this twisted, but from a profile standpoint, they're probably the team that profiles most similarly to the blue Jays, high contact, low strikeout, not a ton of isolated slug there.
So maybe he can build on that.
Maybe there's something in there.
Maybe it was a random blip.
He is a guy who is at this point, despite being a top prospect, and we tend to think of top prospects with high velo as big stuff, guys, not getting a ton of chase, really not getting a lot of swing and miss, not striking a ton of guys out.
And I mentioned earlier, a ton, a ton, a ton of walks, a 16% walk rate right now, which for context, about four times as often as Paul Skeens and Kevin Gosman walk guys.
He does throw 98 though, a 98 mile an hour fastball that he throws a little more than half the time.
