One major reason is testosterone.
Levels can start declining around age 30, dropping at 1% each year.
But it's not just about how much testosterone the body produces.
It's also about how much is actually available to use.
A protein called SHBG binds to testosterone.
and can limit how much of it your body can access.
So even if the levels are there, it's not always working effectively.
