And from that moment on, we couldn't stop him from talking.
I mean, how did they get on with this new boy in their midst?
So Brodie, my eldest, was only five and Yuri was his idol.
He just followed him everywhere around the house.
I mean, I look back and think it was quite unfair of Yuri to have a little one tagging along everywhere behind him.
But Brodie just idolised him.
They slept in the same room together.
My middle son was only a baby, a little toddler at the time.
But yeah, he did everything with Yuri.
They'd go out and play on the swings together and
He introduced Yuri to Lego and they'd spend many hours building Lego together.
It was amazing.
So it was about the third week, Mark.
Originally, we were told they were going to have an enormous amount of activities organised and all of a sudden nothing was happening for the children.
And so we were getting together with other local foster families to say, we've got to get these kids together.
They need to see each other.
They've been pulled out from the other side of the world to Australia and know no one.
And so we started running our own activities.
But on the third week, I started to make phone calls to say, like, what's happening?
When are the children going home?
