But I just want to say something quickly.

On Friday, we spoke about the beer and I just assumed kind of everyone knew that we'd stopped selling the beer ages ago because it's been probably, I don't know, nearly two years since we promoted the beer and it's been over a year, I think, since we've actually sold the beer.

Anyway, we got in a conversation on Friday and we just kind of explained what happened.

And there was quite a lot of people interested to hear what happened to the beer.

So I was like, oh shit, like maybe I should stay on one of our bigger podcasts.

Anyway, what happened with the beer and why we no longer sell it?

Pretty much the beer was going extremely well, like really, really well.

And got to a certain point where we had kind of two choices.

It was raise a bunch of money and build a brewery.

because the cost that we were selling the beer at was around 55 to $60.

That was the recommended retail price.

Now, some independent liquor stores would sell it for more, but we would try to tell them around that price.

And that was because we knew the audience that listened to our podcast, they're not gonna pay 70 to $80 for a case of beer.

uh anyway so basically we weren't making any money on the beer but we knew that going into that price point but the long-term plan was potentially to build a brewery uh and that would bring the cost down of the beer so we got to a certain point where um yeah it was it was either raise a bunch of money and build a brewery but then if we did that it would basically make us a beer company if you actually remember two or three years ago we only had like really two shows so it was

Monday review and a DMP.

And then obviously in the last few years, and that was the point where we were like, okay, well,

if we become a beer company, like it's all well and good to raise a bunch of money, but, and you know, you can, you can carry on like all this money raised, but once you raise a bunch of money, you have an obligation to follow that all the way through.

And my passion has always been the podcast.

It's always been, that's where I've always wanted to like positively impact a footy.

And I hope I have to a degree, just not in some big ego way, just in my part and all this.
