I'm born and bred in Dublin, so I'd be in and out of Dublin all the time.
But I have curtailed my movements there over the last sort of 12 months.
I no longer, unless I have something specific to do, I stay away from it.
Because it's become too dangerous.
Wherever you are, whatever time of the day it is, you're constantly on red alert, looking around who's doing what, where, when.

CiarΓ‘n, I brought this subject up back in 1999 when I returned from London after seeing what my city had turned into.
We're now in 2026 and it's just completely out of control.
Well, everything is, you're on red alert all the time.
Like you give the example, last weekend I was heading up to Houston and
guys were getting dragged off the loose because they hadn't paid their fare and they were getting lippy and it all sort of starts to kick off.
You're constantly pestered.
Came out of Houston Station, pestered with beggars and they won't take no for an answer.
They're following you around the place.
It's just become, it's just not worth the hassle anymore.
It's as simple as that.
I just don't want the hassle.
I want to come and go as I please.
I don't want to be
