Podcast Appearances
Social media is where you're going to promote anything.
So you need a proof of concept.
So if you are starting out with a podcast and that is your way of connecting and producing content on social media, you have to give it time because you need to create a proof of concept.
Also,
Um, if you don't come from a media background, if you don't already have previously have some celebrity, you have to find people that connect with you as an individual, um, before you start your podcast.
So even though you are promoting your podcast, I would suggest getting on TikTok, getting on Instagram and, and doing, uh, doing selfie videos for
front-facing like the the selfie videos that most people do where you just prop up your phone and you talk and give commentary on situations that are going on it'll give people some insight to who you are to your perspectives to your personality and it'll build an audience for you that you won't build otherwise on the podcast because podcasts have sort of uh you know
a dark cloud over it because of how people have mishandled podcasting.
People have used podcasts to rage bait and to engagement farm for so long that being a podcaster now is like saying you're a rapper.
It's just like everybody got a podcast.
Everybody rap.
Don't nobody give a shit.
So at the point, you got to prove to people that you are someone worth listening to.
So you need to get a little bit more personal.
I know that you're sharing some very personal stories on there.
And those are stories that you may have to reiterate as your audience grows, as I've had to.
But you need to prove yourself on social media and short form content before people come holler at you long form.
Everything you're doing now is important to do.
I did everything on my own at first.
Big Cat came and helped me out of necessity.
