But to say that this is un-American is a slap in the face to black Americans.
But there's never an apology.
There's only an epiphany.
I've seen a lot of new white creators come out.
I can't believe this is happening.
This isn't the America I know.
I haven't seen a tweet come out today saying, can we go back to the old-fashioned police brutality?
the fuck does that mean can we go back to when y'all was just brutalizing black people the nerve to be upset when we call out the hypocrisy instead of saying i was wrong how about you say i was wrong because i turned a blind eye when it was happening to black people or i apologize this country has always brutalized black people and i thought it would never happen to me
Or I think that this behavior is un-American because I've only ever considered white people to be American.
150 unarmed black Americans were murdered by police since 2015.
That's just the last 10 years.
Good old fashioned police brutality.
Oscar Grant, Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, Eric Gardner, Alton Sterling, Baby, Tamir Rice, Philando Castile, Sandra Bland, Breonna Taylor, Sonya Massey, Walter Scott, Stephon Clark, Duante Wright, Elijah McClain, Freddie Gray, Bothan Jean,
I taught Tiana Jefferson, Laquan McDonald, Dominique White, Rashard Brooks, Corinne Gaines, and when y'all started paying attention, George Floyd.
This is un-American.
This is about as American as it fucking gets.
And I get the comparisons.
