He walked into a prison with a backpack without no security or anything.
So this guy had a lot of juice.
And
It's just, I don't know, for some reason, that first, you know, when I met him, you know, it inspired me.
You know, like, I have a chance to get out, you know what I mean?
And they gave me a taste of freedom.
First time I ever got treated like a human being, you know?
That's when my little humanity switch kind of flipped back on, you know?
So it was just pretty cool.
That yard was pretty cool.
And then I end up transferring from there to Mill Creek, which is a freaking horrible place.
It's all a bunch of people.
And it was just horrible.
You know, a lot of just monsters everywhere.
People that I was going after all the time, you know, and...
was really hard i had a really good friend i won't say his name but he kept me grounded kept all those weirdos away from me and stuff i just did my program and then finally just one day i got a visit from my mom and her new husband my stepdad he's a retired cop he was a cop for like 25 years and um i was going to go to a halfway house in san diego but they're like no you're going to move in with us and i was like right on cool um they lived in low dive
Because I kept telling myself, I'm not going back to Stockton.
I don't want to, I love my town, you know, and I want to do everything I can to help my town, you know, my city, you know.
But the day came, they kept saying, oh, you're getting out, you're getting out.
I said, you don't know you're getting out until you actually walk out.
