You know, that's why she called the cops.

And so the fastest way out of that neighborhood was to get on the freeway and walk.

My dumb ass, you know, had a shotgun and rifle like this walking down the freeway.

And back then we didn't have cell phones.

This was in the 90s.

Back then, they had the big ones where you need the suitcases.

Somebody had one of those and called the cops on me.

So when I went down the ramp, the cops were there waiting for me.

They had me surrounded.

So I think I was 18 at that time.

So I ended up doing a year in a county jail for that.

for discharging a firearm in public.

And then I got out, and I just, I don't know, something got into me, and I was seeing all these poor people around, you know, the houses I was going to.

The kids didn't have diapers on.

They looked like they were hungry all the time.

There was no food in the house.

So I just started doing more robberies.

And I would get that money, and I would actually go and pay their rent

get their power turned on, bring a bunch of groceries, bring clothes, take them shopping, stuff like that.

Well, war started getting around where everybody was starting to call me Robin Hood.
