And he was teaching at Berkeley, and so I asked the chair of my department if I could take courses with him. And he was like, yes, absolutely. So I got to take courses with him and learn more. And I have had students who've come through, and they've been what are called biblical literalists. So a biblical literalist is a person who takes the Bible literally. It's hard to take it literally because there are discrepancies in it, which is what I knew when I was 11. I was like, hmm, this doesn't seem that God would create something that had discrepancies in it.
