Otherwise, we'll just go on the market and see if we can go price out the Chargers on Odafe Owe or we'll go take a shot at a Bradley Chubb who just got released earlier today, right?
We might try for Jalen Phillips if he's available and Philadelphia doesn't re-sign him.
So I think that that is probably the right kind of negotiation, the right terms, the right scenario in terms of a negotiation that actually might land a player like Crosby on a different team.
I think that Philadelphia says no to that, ultimately.
I think that the timelines just don't add up in terms of who's getting paid what, who is set to get paid more.
And this might be something I'm thinking more actively about, right?
Because I do spend a lot of time analyzing where the Eagles are at specifically, right?
Both personally.
And professionally, that is a source of great interest in my life.
But knowing what we've heard from Philadelphia, from GM Howie Roseman on defensive players that are coming up to get paid.
You've got Jalen Carter, who you've got to consider.
You've got Quinion Mitchell and Cooper Dejean, who are probably going to be at the top of their respective positions by the time they sign new deals.
You've got an offensive line that you've got to turn around.
There's just so much in flux.
I don't know if a near 30 edge rusher is exactly the kind of player they're looking to bring.
What will be more interesting, and I'll throw this one back at you, is what if it's Max Crosby plus maybe a late pick for a Jalen Carter?
Somebody who is a little bit earlier in his trajectory that might fit the Raiders and their build a little bit more if you're trying to make a move like that for a player like Crosby.
I think this is another situation where it might have to be a player for player type of deal.
Like, again, if I'm the Raiders and I'm Clint Kubiak, I'm going to say if we're going to send out Max Crosby to a team like the Bills, who by sending them this player within the conference, there's a chance that the Bills might be playing in Super Bowl 61, right?
So if we're going to do that, can I get Spencer Brown back to be our right tackle?
