And it's as popular in Japan as baseball is.
The two greatest gambling countries in the world on horse racing, the amount of money bet, are Japan and Hong Kong.
So it's a very thriving industry.
And they didn't really lead Japan much until more recently.
I just think they weren't sure they could compete.
Well, they clearly have proven now that they can compete.
I mean, like when the Japanese horses first started coming to the Derby, they said, well, they got no chance.
But if you say that now, you're just not paying attention to the trends.
I think that, look, Baffert's always going to be a player because he has so many people that want to throw so much money at him.
Like his horse, Patente, costs $2.5 million.
It just โ this year, the better โ the wishes that he thought were going to be the ones just didn't make it for one other reason.
