I think there's going to be a lot of interest regardless if they choose to go in that direction and everyone's got cap space now and everyone's always got need at the defense position, especially on the right side.

And so having that type of an asset as a trade ship is a pretty good spot to be in.

yeah I think that's fair I think the exciting thing I mean it wouldn't be an immediate fit but the idea of a guy like Chase Reed in San Jose is that he's got the skating ability to like play within that system and really kind of be a nice running mate for Celebrini and Smith and Misa and so that would be the appeal but I also understand the logic of we don't have a right shot defender for next season we should be pretty competitive as soon as next season and it's not reasonable to expect even a second overall pick at that position to step into that role and provide those types of results in year one
