It's to be determined.
But I do think it would go an incredibly long way if you sign a couple players this offseason, they're having good years, and then in February you maximize those assets.
I think that would go a long way in rebuilding faith from the fan base in what you're doing here.
Yes.
Still warming up.
He's a guy that he's still at the level of, like, you have to earn your spot.
If we're talking about Zee Booyam and Tom Bielander, I do think you want to give those guys a level of opportunity where it's like, hey, prove to me that you don't deserve to be, if we're talking about Zee Booyam, on Power Play 1 or whatever it is.
With Mancini, it's like, hey, you need to prove to me that you belong in the lineup night to night.
And I do think, honestly, having competition would benefit him.
Yes.
Like bringing in a Luke Shen or bringing in a Troy Stetcher, whoever it is, but bringing them in to have someone to compete with Victor Mancini so he doesn't feel like his spot is just default going to him, I think that could be a good thing for his development.
And also, I do think if we're talking about Luke Shen specifically,
I almost think if Victor Mantini is looking at someone who, you know, maybe to model their game after to potentially stick in the NHL and figure out what he needs to do to have a long NHL career, I think Luke Shen might be, you know, the ideal path for him.
Obviously, Mancini didn't get drafted high or any of that, but the role Shen now fills and the reason he's been able to stay in the NHL so long is because he's someone who you can trust as a bottom-pairing defenseman.
You know he's going to be good in the room.
You know he's going to fight every once in a while.
I think that's what people eventually kind of want to see from Victor Mancini, but there might also have to be a level of acceptance from Mancini in that role too.
That's great for where he was drafted.
If anything, again, it's like, hey, if you get big minutes in Abbotsford, I kind of like that more for Kudryatsev, especially because...
Like, the left side of defense, we can talk about, hey, in an ideal world, you trade Filip Hronik, and maybe that opens up a side or opens up a spot on the right side.
