Boston really should probably feel like they should be up in this series at this point.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this 2-2 heading back to Buffalo.
Hypothetically, I would view it as an encouraging one, largely because something they did during his time there was build out the analytics staff around him that helped influence a lot of their decisions, particularly within the draft.
And so they did a really good job, clearly, of accumulating talent along the way.
Now they had a long runway to do so with how often they were picking high in the draft, but...
the entirety of this roster and the success they've enjoyed this season is his doing.
It's all players pretty much that he either drafted or acquired.
And he deserves a lot of credit for that.
So assuming he came in in this hypothetical situation and was given the runway that he had in Buffalo, both in terms of time to do so, but also the resources to create the infrastructure around him, I think you could do a lot worse than that.
Yeah, the Canucks would never have someone in the front office saying weird stuff to the media.
I think Kevin Adams did a good job, honestly.
The biggest issue with his tenure as GM of the Sabres was that he was very easily manipulated by the owner.
Also a red flag to have the job here.
In a lot of ways, he was a puppet at various points and kind of like
acquiesce to his whims essentially and i get it that's your boss ultimately but a very important part of being a successful nhl gm is maintaining that autonomy and like kind of managing up in a way and he struggled with that quite a bit um in buffalo and so that would be certainly a massive concern heading into a potential partnership and be a potential red flag here for sure
