And I started to ask these guys like, yo, can you get on this song as a remix?

So I started servicing Paper Planes with rappers on it to DJs I knew in Philly and New York.

So I was like just giving them this mixtape version.

So the song started getting played on like mix shows in Philly and New York, Atlanta.

It had been out for like six months.

Rap radio started picking this record up and then

Seth Rogen heard it, put it on Pineapple Express, got a big trailer.

So the white people started hearing the record too.

And it was like, it just like all, the label didn't do shit.

Like I was like guerrilla marketing, which I learned that from her too.

Put all your shit into it.

Everybody you know asking for a favor, drop remixes, whatever it takes.

And then that record took like

16 months to reach like number, I think it only got number two, but it became, you know, they got Kim big at 15 years later, but that record was a big trendsetting record for a lot of people.

I don't know how many people I work with now, like young, young females that are like, MIA paper planes, like this style, this attitude, this is like what I want to do.
