And some kids in the street were just like, it was like, bring them in.
They sang it.
And then I think that was what made, that was what made XL not want to release it because of the kids.
And I was like, this is kind of like, what's cool about it.
But in the end you have to kind of fight for your vision, I think.
And and then even after you fight for it, it doesn't mean it's going to be hit.
You have to still put the work into it.
So that's what happened with that record.
Like no one really believed in it.
And I was just like, yo, this is a fire record.
I want to play this record out.
So I wanted to get big so I can keep playing this record out.
Because meanwhile, all the time I'm learning to produce, I'm like DJing and like getting bigger as a DJ and getting better as a DJ.
But that is like.
there's no better testing ground for music than playing it live for people and seeing what reactions are immediately.
Because people just like, when you like live in like the pops world here in LA, you just kind of like, you're in a vacuum.
