I was in Amsterdam for ADE.
That's like the big dance music festival where you, you know, it's a summit for labels and people that do dance music.
I met her there and she's like, I want to work with you.
And I was like, all right.
I was like, well, I don't know who you are, but she's like, I have an apartment here.
If you want to come up, we can just like play music.
And I went up to this place and I had like three beats.
They're reggae beats.
I didn't have anything at the time, but these like reggae, like classic reggae beats.
So I was trying to like do something like get free.
She wrote lean on into other songs, just the chorus and some weird gibberish kind of words.
And I sat on it.
I was like, damn, it's kind of cool.
And then my manager at the time, Kevin was like, that sounds like that's a good chorus.
It sounds like, yeah, maybe I should fuck with that.
So like a year later, I dug it up.
So I changed the tempo because that reggae wasn't working.
I was like, we did that already and nobody really cares.
So I was like, let me make like a hip hop song, like a DJ Mustard kind of beat with it.
So I started working on this like version of it, sped it up, started rewriting it.
