where he wanted to throw that ball before the snap happened, which I don't think is a problem.
But there's something that Tony Romo said to me a long time ago in a joint practice that we had when I was with the Broncos.
We were doing one-on-ones, and I had a really good break on the ball, and he threw it super high, so I didn't get the interception.
And I was like...
Like, jokingly, you got lucky, and he was saying he never looks at the receiver in that situation.
He's not throwing to a receiver.
He's throwing away from the DB.
And I think that when you know where your receivers are supposed to be, your eyes should be on the defensive players.
And it was like an inside linebacker who wired his own โ
more quickly and wider than he normally would.
And Tua didn't anticipate him doing it.
He didn't see him doing it.
And that's like, I'm not a quarterback.
It seems ridiculous to say, don't look at your receivers, look at the defenders.
But it makes sense.
If you know where your receiver is supposed to be, you need to be looking for threats, not looking for opportunities.
