So anytime he could have the right guy to just continually work in his development, it would be very crucial for his continued success.
Oh, that's interesting.
I'm not completely sure.
It seems like the more things have kind of stalled.
I don't know if that puts the Packers and Matt LaFleur in a better position to get a deal done.
I do believe all possibilities are still on the table.
But I would say LaFleur, he has the leverage right now because it doesn't seem like there is a โ
huge pool of candidates in this coaching cycle, at least for maybe what the Packers would want in terms of an offensive-minded guy.
There are no Liam Coens or Ben Johnsons in this cycle.
So it seems like LaFleur kind of has some leverage on if he were fired or he was on the market, he'd be the best coach available, especially because it seems like
New York locked down Harbaugh.
But, you know, anything can happen.
And so, like, I wouldn't be shocked if LaFleur ended up at one of these different teams and coached.
But at least for the Packers, it seems like the best bet right now would be to try to get a deal done and keep things together in Green Bay just to see what it would look like with year four as Jordan Love, as the starting quarterback.
You still have Josh Jacobs.
You know, you still have to, you know, fix some things up on the offensive line.
So I think for him, if he came back, he would need to fix the staff.
So I don't know my guess.
would be that you could say the Packers run it back with him, but you never know what could happen.
But no question about it, if he was on the market, he would be the best available coach, and there's a lot of teams that would love to have his offensive play calling and his abilities in developing quarterbacks.
