I think conversation, I don't know if I do it, but I think you just have conversations about what's going on.
What do you see?
How are you feeling?
And if you know hitting a little bit, you can talk about that.
Just like, you know, I see this, you know, and that type of thing.
But you don't want to get too much involved with that because there's hitting guys talking every day too.
Can a manager feel when a star in the middle of the order needs a day off or needs a break or needs to take a step back or maybe needs to move down in the order a little bit?
Can you feel that as a manager when you're dealing with somebody that's way better at hitting than other people are?
Yeah, I think you feel the need of a day off more than the need to move them somewhere.
I think moving is a tough one because you may think during that moment you need to move him, but you're also going to need this guy.
And you send a bad message when you move a guy down just to say, I'm going to let you get going.
because you're saying you don't have confidence in him.
So I think that's a dangerous move.
I think giving him a day off is easier to see.
You see the frustration.
