And it is from that vantage point, from that parking lot, that these shots are fired.

Is that correct?

which is when we get the tragedy and the images that come from that tragedy, the most famous of which is Mary Ann Vecchio over Jeffrey Miller, which goes on to win a Pulitzer Prize.

Four students are killed.

Jeffrey Miller, about 100 feet away from the soldiers.

Alison Krauss, 300 feet.

I mean, they're all different places that these people are being hit.

William Schroeder, 400 feet away.

Sandy Scheuer, who was just a person on her way to class, apparently.

And that's why I've gone out of my way to ask you about...

you know, what was happening there because you have lots of people doing other things on this class, on this campus at the time.

Nine others we've often forget were physically injured, including one person who was fully paralyzed.

And that the closest of that crowd was only 20 feet away from those people.
