How much was Eisenhower responsible for the look of this thing, the feeling of it?
It was supposed to happen a year before.
All kinds of logistics to manage.
Was he really in charge of this thing as much as we think?
I mean, he's top of my list.
I'll just give it away.
I just can't believe that this guy could live through this, let alone become victorious through it.
I think what's fascinating about Eisenhower, final note for me, is that his effect is on the other end as well.
You know, becoming president, he actually shapes so much of the 20th century for America's the role of America in the world.
