But even against Louisville in the second half, without Mikael Brown Jr., we said, Ryan Conwell, your night is done.
And we took him out of the game.
And so we've had a tendency against teams to find their best player.
And even if it's a large stretch and not an entire half or an entire game, just the fact that you kind of render that part of the game, you know,
obsolete for the other team it makes it where that team has to expend so much energy to try not just get that player back into the game but then to recalibrate their offense to get another shot and trying to take you out and that is two times that you have to kind of expend too much energy and that's where duke has the advantage if they're able to just maintain what they're able to do last thing i have in the good is i want to talk about duke's ability to take care of the ball
See, I would I would say good job to our big men, because if you think about the number of turnovers, the big men are the one that have that have kind of had the most over the last few games.
And it's for good reason, right?
They're the ones that end up with the ball in the hands at the end of possessions most of the time.
you know, Cam Boozer and Pat Gongba both have a turnover each win.
I mean, they had been averaging like three, sometimes four turnovers in games entering this over this past, like two to three weeks stretch.
So I'm really proud of them for taking care of the basketball as well, because it's a lot, as you know, it's a lot harder for a big man to take care of the basketball.
They don't get the opportunity to kind of know what the defense is because they have their back to the basket a lot.
And in the case of Cam Boozer,
He's not just taking the ball and going and putting in the hoop.
He's dribbling too.
He's at the top of the key.
He's trying to create stuff off the dribble.
So the fact that he was able to limit himself to just one turnover I think is great.
And again, I'm sure Louisville was saying, hey, we're going to get our opportunities to take the ball away from these big guys who can do a lot of things on the floor.
And the fact they weren't able to is just one more pin that they shouldn't use to kind of pop the balloon that is Duke.
