I can get a rebound over a seven-foot guy if I have the right position, or at the very least, I could get a foul call because they have to go over the back.
to give up their position and have to file in order to get the rebound.
We just weren't getting to our spots.
And there were times where we did.
Like I said, this was a game where we had some moments where, oh, we're getting to our spots and look how easy and efficient we are when we get to our spots, both on offense and defense.
But when we weren't getting to our spots and when we weren't making a big deal about getting to our spots and forcing the issue, that's when Texas Tech went on their runs because they were more than happy to,
get their ground like oh you don't want to give you don't want to you know fight for this round cool we'll take it like that's what it was and you can't let a team you know out muscle you and out hustle you to your spots like they may have their spots on the floor and your job is to to make them suffer at those positions but if i want to go to the block and lay it in all the time then that block is mine like you have to have that mentality of nobody is taking my spot
On this floor where I can get the ball and do the most damage to the other team.
And there are times where we just didn't feel it didn't feel like they were getting to those positions on the floor where we know where they are the most efficient.
Yeah, again.
All this adds up to details.
Like, all these little... And when you look at it right in the course of the game, you think, oh, these little things don't add up, right?
When you have a game like this that can easily be won, like, how many segments of the game have we just discussed where we go, oh, if we had just done this, like, just a smidge and more, we win by double digits.
Like, all these little details added up to...
which is still a strong team, right?
You know, Texas Tech is a strong team, but we lost by one point in a game where if one or two of these details flip on its head, we're winning this game walking away.
And it's a party at the garden as opposed to a melancholy trip home.
And so I think when you look at all these things, like as we approach this break, and I think Jim Sumner is right, we got 11 days to work on all of these little things and come back and
to be ready for the ACC season where Jason, it's not going to be a cakewalk.
There's teams are not going to roll over for us.
