But when Malik came on, it was more of a positive, like, yes, like we need some, we need some energy on the defensive end.

And we knew that Malik Brown checking the game meant that we were going to provide it.

That didn't mean that Pat didn't do that.

But whenever Malik came in, you could see kind of the, the aura of defense around him kind of, you know, really energized the crowd and get them into it.

And he responded in kind, like,

Five steals, every one of them timely.

That block that he had that was first called a goaltending, it was on the other end of the court for me.

So we saw it immediately.

And you could see him immediately do the spinny, like, hey, coach, challenge us.

And John Shire had the most emphatic challenge call that I've seen a coach do so far in this challenge era in basketball.

He whipped his hand, went straight to the ref and was like, yo, review that.

He didn't even barely look at it.

He looked up at the jumbotron.

And saw like the very fast replay and immediately started saying, nope, challenge that.

It didn't take long for them to overturn that call and give him the rightful block.

But again, it was a weak side block where he was all the way over in the three-point line on the other end, came into the lane to block that shot.

That is, again, his energy was all over the place.

He was able to really shake up Texas Tech defensively.

And again, on the offensive end, he was able to get some putbacks and be in the right place at the right time.

So I thought he had a very solid game.
