So I'm sure a lot of people out there who are mad at Mensa would be very happy to get DJ Legway as a consolation prize when, in essence, we're kind of in this world.

And we have to approach it with the understanding that for Duke to become better and to continue to compete for championships, this is a part of that reality.

It really sucks that it happens to us, it feels like, every year.

But we got Mensah through the portal.

We lost him to the portal.

Our last three guys – I'm sorry, our last two quarterbacks have come via the portal from other institutions.

And we have to – that's how we have to thrive and survive in this college football world.

But that doesn't mean it's not ugly.

That doesn't mean that Derry Mensah didn't burn bridges because he absolutely didn't.

It's evident not just by my words, by your words, Scott, it's evident by the players and how they're reacting to this.

Some of these players clearly did not know this was going down on Friday night, just like a lot of us.

So I think that's where we hang our heads.

And I think the other tailing thing was the very next day.

Was it Saturday?

They had that picture of every player, with the exception of maybe one or two, in the exercise room, in the gym, working out together.

And they had that picture saying, we're not stopping.

That was a clear statement that if you don't want to be here,

cool, don't be here.
