The thought coming into the season was, okay, the Patriots are probably like a wild card team.
The Bills will win the AFC East, and maybe the Patriots win like 10 games.
And they are in Super Bowl 60.
And I don't think anybody, for as cocky as that fan base and that city is, Boston, New England, I don't think anybody would have said, yeah, we're going to be in the Super Bowl next year.
And they better hope it's only 10 to 15 years.
At least the rest of the league better hope it's only 10 to 15 years.
The last guy was there for 20.
Yeah, because their plan is counting on a guy that's going to be 44 midway through next season to come back.
And that to me just sounds like that is the picture of being stuck in the snow and just spinning your tires.
Like, that's just what it feels like to me.
And, like, I know there's been so many conversations about Will Howard and what he can be and, you know, how the hype train has just taken off to a stratosphere that it can't be returned to the station.
And I feel bad for the guy to a degree because he was picked 185 and we're, like, acting as if he's going to be the next Tom Brady.
But that being said...
I would rather them run him out there for a season than 44-year-old Aaron Rodgers because we know what it's going to look like.
Rodgers will put together numbers that look relatively good.
He'll take advantage of the bad teams on their schedule.
He'll play poorly against the playoff teams on their schedule.
They'll have nine or ten wins.
Hey, maybe they get to the playoffs.
Hell, maybe they even win the division, get lucky with some injuries again.
