Basically saying I couldn't get it done here.

Somebody else needs to.

It happened so suddenly, so abruptly, seemingly, that I can't help but wonder, and I also wonder, by the way, if everything's okay with Mike Tomlin and his family.

I can't help but wonder that when suddenly a guy who is an absolute football junkie, and the guy I used to sit across from, Ron Cook, would say, this guy's going to coach forever.

Believe me, he's going to coach forever.

I don't know that I saw signs of burnout.

Kabaly's around them all the time.

He didn't see signs of it.

In some ways, it doesn't matter, I guess, in the end.

But something just seems odd about it to me.

That's all.

Something seemed very abrupt.

Something seemed like Art saying family reasons on one hand.

And then Mike is telling the team, essentially, you guys, I couldn't get this done for you guys.

We fell short here.

And I wonder about things like, did he know that he wasn't going to get extended?

Because I also think of the art quote the other day where he said, I was willing to run it back for one more year.

Is that not what he said?
