Crude oil prices are trading higher after Israel said it identified incoming missiles fired from Iran and the Israeli Air Force intercepted those missiles.

Meantime, an Iranian military advisor said the attacks were a warning to Israel to cease hostile actions in Lebanon.

And at the same time, Iran warned it would respond with force against Israel and its allies should Israel choose to retaliate.

And now Israeli defense forces struck military targets in western and central Iran.

It is likely these attacks will further strain any effort to reach a permanent ceasefire in the war between Iran and the U.S.
