The bottom line, though, is that our border is the soft underbelly of the country. It's a strategic vulnerability. And what exists in Latin America, in Central America, in Mexico is very dangerous to us. And if we don't wake up and start focusing on it, it will ultimately destroy us. How many hundreds of thousands have we lost? 500,000 people to fentanyl poisoning.

The people that are mixing the poison and then mainlining it into the country, they're the cartels in Mexico. And by the way, they have a lot of support here. Their influence reaches right up into DHS all the way to Congress. There are so many people on the payroll. I'm told after my visit down to the border, it's frightening.
