And we were masters of it, you know?
And after that,
that we never, ever talked about going back home.
And we settled into this new life.
Looking back, and even without what happened in the end, I say to my dad, who's passed now, but still say to him, thank you.
Thank you for doing that.
That was an amazing trip for Lisette, for him to have
done such a stupid, irresponsible thing as to take us around the world, you know, against all the doubters.

Changed our lives.

We didn't have a lot of money.
We'd run out of money.
And we financed the trip through yacht deliveries and gardening and painting.
