So it squeezes the prostaglandins, stimulate the womb to squeeze and push out that lining that you don't need because you didn't get pregnant that cycle.
But those prostaglandins don't just stay in the uterus.
They also affect your bowels.
So as they're squeezing your uterus, they're also squeezing your bowels.
So you end up going to the toilet more when you're on your period.
