So these are two solutions.
And the third solution would be that also the companies build mowing robots, which really are able to detect hedgehogs.
And then it wouldn't be a problem anymore that the hedgehogs and the mowing robots are at the same time in the same area.
Yeah, we tested a lot of different devices, mowing robot devices.
In the end, yeah, we had to notice that we didn't find any device which is really secure for hedgehogs.
so they have different sensors so like ultrasound or leader and also picture detection so with artificial intelligence now and i'm sure that in future there will be a method to detect the hedgehogs but yet there is not such device which really detect hedgehogs yeah
I'm not really sure what they will do because I didn't test this one.
I know that they are able to hear ultrasound, but I also have experiences in experiments where they tried to deterring animals from crossing the road, like road deer or so.
and it's really a heavy thing because the animals they want to cross this road and they have a reason to cross this road and also the hedgehogs they have a reason to use the meadow and so on and the hedgehogs
I describe them as a very curious animal.
So they really explore their environment a lot, especially the young hedgehogs.
And that's why, yeah, often they orientate to the thing that they can't, yeah, they don't know what is it, which comes narrowly.
And also keep in mind that with ultrasound, you also disturb other animals like bats or mice or whatever.
So they are also able to hear ultrasound.
Yes, a lot.
So we had efforts to create a law for whole Germany to have this nighttime ban of mooring robots.
But yeah, unfortunately, it failed two years ago.
And now all the different districts in Germany must apply for this nighttime ban and enforce this law.
on a case-by-case basis in Germany.
