Exactly. That's the difference. And so the thing is that throughout our evolutionary history, men have often been left out of the mating game entirely. And we know this if we look at the variability on our Y-linked chromosomes. You only inherit Y-linked genes from your father because women don't have a Y chromosome.

For women, you can look at mitochondrial DNA, which you only inherit from your mother. And if you look at the mitochondrial DNA and the variability there, you can see that we have about twice as many moms as dads. Yeah. That's weird because it takes two to tango. But what it means is that some of the dads were getting lots of women and lots of potential dads were getting no women at all.

And so in our ancestral past, there's lots of men who nobody swiped right. They couldn't find a partner. And there's lots of men who women were very interested in. Well, you could say lower their stance, but you could also say, you know, you're not liking him for all the wrong reasons. You know, yeah, so what? He doesn't drive a Ferrari, and so what? He doesn't look super cool or whatever. But he could be a great guy. The problem is apps aren't well suited for that.

And so, you know, when we were all just people who met in person, you would realize, oh, this guy is the salt of the earth. He'd be a perfect partner for me for my life. I know he's kind of ugly or he's kind of whatever, but who cares, right? He's going to be a perfect life partner. Very hard to see that on an app.
