And we didn't hear those back in the 80s because people were afraid to talk about them. It was hard enough to talk about a pleasant near-death experience, but that's what was publicized.

And for people who need to be in control all the time, obsessive people like myself and probably you, that's scary to be out of control. So they fight against it.
