I didn't even know these existed.
I knew about cat cafes.
We've got one down the street from my practice.
And I work with a cat rescue that is looking to have a cat cafe.
Now, that's for the purpose of then finding homes.
It's like doing when you do yoga with puppies.
These are also domesticated animals.
I think this is an important distinction.
Yeah, yeah, a huge thing.
So these exotic animal cafes, you know, it's this cute little trend, but obviously a possible welfare crisis.
They became very popular in China, Taiwan, Japan, but now there's some in the U.S.
There's a capybara, those giant rodent things.
There's a capybara, one in the U.K.
and another one in Florida.
They have everything from owls, as we talked about, meerkats, otters, snakes, etc.
What about the penguins, David?

So as I'm reading on this, you know, about these different species, the veterinarian in me is saying, OK, these animals should not be handled.
