So he basically did a study where he fed cats, a bunch of cats in...
Six different meals, 10 minutes apart with a 10 minute break.
And as more and more meals came out, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, they started eating less and less.
And then what he did was he did the same thing, but it was a different meal with a different odor and they ate substantially more.
Then he took the cats and he fed them meal one, two, three, four, five with the 10 minute break in between.
And the sixth one was a new meal.
And all of a sudden they started eating again.
Then he took it where he wanted to say, well, is it the flavor or is it the odor?
And he would actually feed them the same six dishes with 10 minutes apart.
But he would introduce a new savory odor.
This has got a little can.
And it would trick the cats into eating more.
So this shows that they get this thing called catnip.
habituation and dishabituation regarding sort of, they basically get, what is it, like nose blind?
They get bored with the scent.
They can't quite pick up the odor.
I guess it affects their taste buds.
And this is huge for getting sick cats to eat more.
And I would have told you prior to this chat, I would have told you, no, David, animals don't get bored with their food.
They can eat the same meal.
