The apology is perfect, but it's not embodied.
In the second one, it's professed, but it's doubted.
AI isn't just developed a language model.
It's developed a system that we can no longer tell with any certainty where human effort begins and ends.
So if you send me an email tomorrow, I'm going, did Ray write that himself?
Or is that, that sounds very much.
And my son is studying for his mocks at the moment.
And well, he was studying for his mock when we had this conversation.
And he said, there's no point in doing good work because the teachers will just think you got it from AI.
And so that idea of, you know.
Yeah.
I think that was a strategic thing to say.
I'm not putting in effort.
But there was some truth in it.
And I work in a third-level university and you're getting this stuff in and you're thinking, this is too good.
They didn't do this themselves because maybe it's... But without any sort of certainty around effort, where does that go?
And I would worry about that.
Trust holds communities together.
It holds relationships together.
You can't have a relationship without trust.
