You know, look what it can do.
And that's brilliant.
But the longer term trade-offs and the consequences of that, there's nothing wrong with using ChatGPT to improve a bit of work or to send an email.
But
what happens in the unintended consequences of that stuff.
And I just think we rarely think about that when something novel and new is coming in and it's only down the road where we kind of go, oh, we should have thought about that.
And that is the scary thing, Ray, because that's happening a lot.
Like I'm talking to teenagers and young adults all the time.
and the amount of them that are using ChatGPT for, and it's even something small.
So say, for example, I would say to somebody, what did you use it recently for?
And they're saying, well, I was trying to figure out what outfit to wear to go on a date.
So I asked ChatGPT, should I wear the jeans or the trousers?
And ChatGPT said, do the trousers.
And it was brilliant.
Instantly, I went with the trousers.
I said, what would you have done before?
I would have rang Mary, my friend, and asked her, and she would have hummed and hawed and said, well, the trousers are nice, but it would have taken five or six minutes of over and back, and then she probably would have told me to get the jeans, right?
But if we take out that contact with Mary, or if I don't ever call over to Ray when my tap is leaking, because Ray has a bit of knowledge in plumbing and it would help me out,
What happens to those bonds of community?
Because we don't connect on a human level anymore because you don't have to.
